What's that?
Ask Me Anything is a meme in which you (or I in this case) post a message saying "Ask me anything", and people ask questions in the comments.

There are no rules. Content and number of questions per reader are totally up to you. If or when you respond is totally up to you. IC or OOC is totally up to you.

So, what happened when Ryoji went back to the Discworld?

-The events of Mort resumed.

Basically: While Ryoji was doing his first unsupervised assignments, Mort prevents the death of Princess Keli and created a reality in which she didn't die to form around Sto Lat. Outside of the reality, everyone knows she died. Inside, everyone is confused as to why the flag poles are at half-mast, the current fashion is to be in black, and cold salad is being served all the time. The 'dominate' reality is slowly reasserting itself over the kingdom.

When Mort has trouble telling Death about this issue, Ryoji and Ysabell convince him to do it but they discover that Death has gone to the Discworld to do Mortal things. Like getting drunk. Thus, its up to the two boys to do the Duty and try to fix the problem themselves.

As Death gets more and more Mortal, his powers and, er, Deathiness have been split between the two apprentices. Mort is getting more of that (due to, y'know, being the main character. Its like Ryoji just happens to be...there in this universe) and is acting more like Death. Minus the curiosity in humanity.

As for the hourglass:

Before Death left, Ryoji told him about the Velvet Mall and how nobody there has their own hourglass (except for the kids with Death Clocks). Death gives him a special hourglass (in case he finds himself there) that will allow Ryoji to cheat and know how long the Velvet Mall residents will live (in case somebody randomly dies in the mall). The amount of sand in the bulbs will change to whoever Ryoji is facing at the time.

As for gods, the hourglass will tell you how many people back home believe in your existence/worship you. Its generally very bad if you don't have enough believers because in the Discworld, gods and mystical creatures run on belief. If nobody believes in you, you shrivel up until you're just a whiff of consciousness.

FYI: It would be unwise to break the practically invincible hourglass unless you want everyone (which includes you who foolishly broke it) within a certain distance to have dramatically shortened lives.

BUT. BUT. MINATOOOOO. :O
Is there a thread that I tagged and haven't replied back after awhile? Is it a battle thread? A crack thread? A serious non-battle thread? A private thread?

Then you've come to the right entry. Here you can tell me which thread's been bothering you for awhile 'cause I haven't replied. Or you can go on the chat and yell at me there.

Just comment with a link to the unfinished thread and I'll fix the problem. And if I hadn't fixed it by three days, you have the right to log into the chat and bother me about it. Or leave another comment with capslock stuck on. Or something.

This post applies to: Discworld!Ryoji Mochizuki
I'll ask DEATH if we have your hourglass
Here's the tl;dr version:

1. This Ryoji is from the Counterweight Continent which is part of the Discworld. Let's just say its the equivalent to Asia. His hometown is Bes Pelargic, which is the major seaport for the Agatean Empire. Residents there have contact with foreigners all the time. Being from there is a good excuse for any behavior that may seem to be odd to the rest of the Empire. Thus, Ryoji's outfit may appear weird to everybody else in the empire.

2. He's coming in during the events of Mort. Therefore:

3. He's also the other apprentice of DEATH. How? Well...
-Death felt as though having multiple apprentices would be a good idea. If one fails, then he has a back-up plan...yeah.

4. He and Mort get along pretty well though he worries about his obsession over Princess Keli.
-Then again, Ryoji worries about his best friend Minato who is hanging out in Bes Pelargic. A lot.

5. Compared to Mort, Ryoji learned pretty quickly and mastered the basics of being a Grim Reaper. Which may or may not be a bad/good thing.

6. Like his counterparts, Ryoji likes to flirt with girls. The only girl he doesn't flirt (as much) is Ysabell, Death's (adopted) daughter. He has noticed how Mort and Ysabell hated each other at the start. Thus he and Albert (Death's servant/butler) are betting whether or not they get together.

7. Ryoji's powers as Death's apprentice include: Walking through walls (the trick is to not think about it), knowing how long you have until you kick the bucket, using the VOICE (though he's not very good at it at the moment), and if he really tries hard enough, appear to be invisible. However, what he's doing is making your brain refuse to acknowledge that he's there. When he's in this state, only children, wizards/witches, cats, high powered beings (such as gods, Lucifer and the Hitoshura) and residents of the Velvet Room can see him.

8. He'll be also wandering around wearing a black robe over his clothes and carrying a scythe to help perpetuate the notion that he's Death. Almost.

9. If one can sense him, he would feel like Death but sort of not Death.

10. Not everyone is in Bes Pelargic. Mitsuru is busy being a noble in the Forbidden City and Akihiko and Shinjiro are her trusty bodyguards. Ken? Does not exist yet. I dunno how to make Aigis fit in besides having her be either a golem or a rebellious Igorina.

11. As for everyone else: Junpei's dad is a sailor and has him help out at the shipyard sometimes. Fuuka is the daughter of a restaurant owner and is not allowed to help out in the kitchen. Yukari, Minato, and Ryoji are...idk.

12. You don't want to know what's in that special Klatchian curry but it sort of tastes like coffee...

Epic long explanation coming soon.
